Welcome to West End School, Te Kura O Urumutu. Our fantastic school has a proud history of delivering excellent outcomes for all children. West End School tamariki enjoy personalised learning in an inclusive environment, where learning is shaped to fit each child. We have attractive, well developed grounds and facilities, and a highly skilled and experienced staff. We care about making sure that every learner is successful.  We also care about being a school that is open, warm, and engaging. 

Our shared school vision of “Mahi Tahi, Whakaaro Tahi, Akoako Tahi, Working Together, Thinking Together, Learning Together” empowers our children to be confident, connected and actively involved in their learning. Everyday our school is action-packed with learning opportunities. We have a dynamic and energising local curriculum that affords children a depth and breadth of learning experiences to explore their passions and build on their strengths. 

This is achieved through visual art, music, health, drama, dance, physical education, sport, science, technology, digital technology, coding, reading, social science, kapa haka, design, culture, te reo māori, performance, writing, leadership, mathematics, student government, inquiry learning, outdoor education and much more.
